VG247.com had a 20 minute interview with Dustin Browder about the Starcraft 2 beta and it's progress. This is the first interview I've seen with a Blizzard representative since the beta was released. As the lead game designer he'd sure know how beta is going. He says the numbers are positive for Battle.net and Starcraft 2 itself with a near 50% win ratio for each race. Dustin also says they hope to have an official release the first half of this year. But as we all know too well, there's no telling when/if we'll see a release. At this point Dustin doesn't see any reason to add/remove any units, but he also makes an effort to point out that the community may very well come up with a strategy that simply must be nerfed. Read this interview with Dustin if you have time, it's very good.

Is the Campaign actually finished yet?
It’s not finished. I’m doing a play-through right now on Hard difficulty, and I have pages of notes. But yes, all the missions are in, all of the game mechanics are in and working, and all the audio is recorded. We’re down to fixing, polishing; lots and lots of difficulty tuning is going on. We have multiple strike teams around the studio playing through at multiple difficulty levels, giving us tons and tons of feedback. We’ve been bringing in a lot of new users and having them run through our game, or at least the first part of the game, and watching where they get stuck. But yeah: all the missions are at least at some level complete.
lmao, "righteous fury." nice interview.
