It looks like Phase two is just around the corner for everyone patiently waiting the next stage of StarCraft 2 beta. This morning European beta testers have gotten an option to download an update to the beta client. The new patch is a whopping 485 mb in size.
Turns out this update is for the most part a lot of new sounds for the Zerg race. There has been a lot of complaints about the way the Zerg units and structures sound compared to the original StarCraft. Looks like Blizzard has taken the community's suggestions to heart and the sound folks have been hard at work on the Zerg race over this beta hiatus.
Once we get word that the patch is available for the US Client we will make sure to update you here. If you are already connected to the EU client feel free to update your game and check out the new Zerg sounds and let us know if it is an improvement or not.
If you're a European beta tester and have the new beta client, all of us without that access would love some screenshots of the new changes that have been made. If you would upload them to the member screenshots gallery we'd appreciate it.
Update: The US download is now available!
