Hi, and welcome to my blog!
[Estimated read time 3-6 minutes]
I'm fuSe, and this is my first post so I want to make it an introduction not only for you guys but also to myself to how this whole thing is going to be like.
The blog is very much still in concept phase, and I have very good experiences with including my audience in what I do as much as possible.
So in this post I'm going to give a a brief overview of what my blog is going to be about, and the concept so far. That way I'll find out if this something people want to read, and if so exactly what you want to read!
Let me start off with explaining to you my idea with this blog.
To do that I'll have to briefly introduce myself,
This is a quick sum-up of a few of the things I've achieved in the last 5 years:
I'm a 19 year old Esport enthusiast (Electronic Sport), and for the time being focusing on SC2 (Starcraft II: Wings Of Liberty).
I was a salesman for about a year before I got bored with that, then I started a company that offered courses on how to communicate and sell better (in danish), I only got to do one course before I got hired as a coach and teamleader and put my own team together.
I've done archery for about 5 months, in those 5 months I won the everything I participated in except for the first cup I participated in including the Regionals and Nationals. I quickly got bored with how easy it was and the lack of hardcore competition.
I did breakdancing for 6 months where I got the job as trainer after 3, did 1 show and 1 competition which I won after a re-battle with another guy for the first place who'd done it for more than 4 years.
I love learning and improving myself in all possible aspects of life. And it's without doubt been one of the most defining factors in my life.
I played Warcraft III for about a year (another Real Time Strategy Game which is similar to SC2 in many ways).
I participated in the SC 1on1 learning program, which was a coach to student internet class on how to get good at Starcraft Brood War (the predecessor to SC2), which of course is alot similar to Starcraft II but not the same game by far.
I like Korean instant noodles (get them!), and I love Microsoft OneNote (if you haven't tried that program out, check it out. A super useful very customizable tool that can be used for many things.)
And I didn't just write all that to brag, what I want you to understand is that I'm an achiever.
When I something I focus my mind on it, and I get good at it!
And I have found the ultimate challenge, Starcraft 2, the hardest thing I've ever done, with the highest skill cap I've ever found, with competition like many other top professional sports.
For the first time in my life, I feel truly dedicated to something I don't get bored with in a few months, something challenging enough, Starcraft 2.
The last couple of days I've spend about 8-14 hours a day practicing SC2, since one of the big LAN events (Offline tournament) called DSRack is 3 days from now, in the Capital of Denmark where I live.
It has 8,827.52$ in prize pool which is quite big for an Esport, but for me it's not about the money, it's about benchmarking myself against Europe's best players, and the best from Denmark as well. And the fact that if I do well, there's a lot of coverage on that tournament, which might get my name out there with the big teams or even a sponsor. Getting on a good team with good practice partners is crucial for improving, and would be pretty much guaranteed if I won this tournament, not that winning is my goal though.
And a couple of days ago I had one of my practice sessions at my friends house, and he asked me why I didn't do a blog about how I practice, my mindset, how I improve, evaluate. A place where I can post about my progress, and the people that wants to can follow me through my career and my growing as a player. A place where I can give insight on how high level strategic understanding of a game, can be related and applied in many other situations in life.
Since I already write alot down on my practice routines, what I need to improve on, what I'm losing to, my strengths and weaknesses etc. just for the sake of my own improvement. I really liked the idea of writing about it in a blog! I've recently been giving the whole blog thing some thought, I just didn't realize what to blog about, that's where I needed my friend to tell me the obvious, to write about what I dedicate most of my time to every day, the thing I'm gradually getting better at than anything else.
So the plan is to use this blog as a tool that I combine with videos that I think I'll be doing on blip.tv.
An example could be a video following my practice over the course of a week or even just a day, talking about what I've learned how I did it and how I approach different obstacles I meet on my journey.
It could be about how I've implemented insights on SC2 to other sides of my life. I would then maybe write a blog entry on how to do scout a 4 gate if I've been practicing against 4 gate or maybe some notes I've written on the topic over the course of months of practice. So that the two can be a combination, a symbiotic creation, the 8th wonder of the world.
I have also today registered an account on Twitterfor the sake of being able to keep you updated on new videos or whatever I feel like is important to all of you readers/viewers.
I will be recording my 1st video shortly, and I have ideas of my own for a lot of videos.
But I wanted to ask you as one of my first readers:
What would you like to see a video about, and in any special requests for the 1st video?
Does this whole concept sound intriguing to you? If so, what does and what doesn't?
Is something missing?
Iwillimprove my blogging skills immensely if there is interest! But before I truly dedicate myself to something I usually want to know there's a good reason to do so, in this case interest from you guys! So do you want me toinvest time in being a better blogger?
As I implied earlier your feedback is much appreciated, if there is any interest I will make content with the niceness!
And I know it can seem like alot of work to give feedback, but all I'm asking is just to answer one of the questions above. It will benefit the quality of the content alot. :)
Cheers,
fuSe - Praccin To The Supererogatory
PS: This blog entry was written a couple of weeks ago, on another site. Since then I've found starcraft-source.com and is now working with the crew here, and thought this was still a good introduction, so please don't accuse me of lying if dates are slightly off. ^^

Some people are all about pen and paper. Roll for initiative monkey boy.
This week's picture is some wonderful origami (???) of our favorite game. It seems we have a mighty Protoss army facing of against some Terran. Can you spot which units are in the picture?

I am guessing Terran is cool Ranch. But what is Zerg and Protoss?
I will be honest, I was having a hell of a time finding a cool picture for you guys. But this one kind of called to me; staff writers get hungry so you know how it goes. The question is this: If zerg and Protoss where chip flavors what would the be?

PEW PEW PEW!
O.K guys I know this would be another Lego Creation week, but really how bad ass it that. The real question who would win in a fight, the Terran Battle Cruiser or an Imperial Star Destroyer?

Sadly, the mighty Zealot warrior died when mom stepped on him.
I am going to be honest, I had some damn fine memories of Lego's when I was a kid. A large amount of my time was spent building what ever the hell I wanted; kids often don't have the attention span to read the instruction booklet.
I just wish I could have built awesome stuff like this when I was a kid. But if I did,it would have taken me forever because I often went on a 30 minute sojourn to the Lego Box looking for a freaking piece that I just had use. By the time I got the piece and got back to my construction, I would lose interest.
Then later when I was busy with something else, I would come back in the room and step on the Lego's and curse for about 4 minutes before picking them all up and forgetting about them for 4 months, thus repeating the cycle of destruction to my feet.

Gamer's Arsenal
On Display: Limited Starcraft 2 Keyset and Zboard
Producer: Steel Series
Rating: 8.7
Limited Edition Starcraft 2 Zboard
In this review, I reveal the usefulness of the Starcraft 2 Zboard and explain its utility/functionality in-game. In addition, I will compare this keyboard's utility to other gaming keyboard options.
Starcraft 2 may seem like a complex game - especially to those who have only recently become acquainted with its controls. With three unique races with unique build orders, units, strengths, and weaknesses, such complexity may be a daunting obstacle. However, with its release, electronic gaming companies such as Steel Series have obliged in producing Starcraft 2 tailored gear to enhance the gaming experience and lessen the learning curve.
SC2 Zboard Hotkeys
Overview:
This limited edition keyboard is unique in several different ways. Not only is the keyset tailored for Starcraft 2, the owner can replace the keysets at any time, giving the keyboard added versatility.
The right side of the keyboard will be the main point of reference for gamers. All of the useful hotkeys are located here, as the picture on the right indicates. Each important function has a specific key to enable the player to save precious time. For beginning players, these keys can drastically improve your APM (actions per minute) and for advanced players, it will help with macros for each chosen race.
Macros can be saved for each specific race. By pressing the Terran, Protoss, or Zerg buttons, you will gain access to your saved keys for future games. As a moderately skilled player, I found this function to be invaluable, as each race has a different play-style that requires separate macros.
Gaming Experience: 9
In game, I found this keyboard to deliver what it promises. While there is a learning curve when using this keyboard, once your hands are accustomed to the unique keyset layout, you'll be able to streamline actions and improve macro/micro skills. APM is a crux for competitive players, and this keyboard provides functionality that can improve your game.
Funcionality: 9
This category is where this particular piece of equipment excels. As this keyset was designed for this game specifically, the functionality provided for Starcraft 2 completely alters the game experience - in what I feel is a good way.
Visual Appearance: 8
The keyset has a custom skin with a Starcraft 2 design. The printed design is a scene from one of the short cinematic clips in the SC2 trailer and works well with the board's color scheme and tech-like appearance.
Comparison:
There is no hiding the fact that there are a lot of alternative gaming keyboards to choose from. Some of the most known are the G series keyboards from Logitech. I own a G15 keyboard, and I've been fairly happy with it since I bought it. When I was testing out the Zboard, I looked not only at what that keyboard offered standing alone, but how it differed in positive and negative ways from the G15.
There's no questioning that the Zboard excels for the Starcraft 2 gamer - if you are using the tailored keyset. With the ability to swap keysets for, say, a generic template, you have versatility and functionality. You can customize your experience with other supported games by purchasing other unique keysets for major game titles. In comparison to the G15, you have the ability to customize "G" keys on three different templates, and have a nice LCD screen. While the G15 is customizable, it lacks the ability to completely change its layouts with a simple clip.
While the Zboard does not have an LCD screen, it makes up for this with its versatility and functionality. I would personally recommend the Zboard for gamers who are passionate about specific titles that want a heightened gaming experience and customized gear. For general gamers, I would recommend either the Z or the G15 - a choice that will depend on what you expect from your keyboard.

Battlecruiser
This edition of Clickables reveals the character behind an iconic Terran unit - the Battlecruiser. Beloved unit from the original Starcraft, the Battlecruiser is a formidable unit on the battlefield. Noted for its powerful canon, the Yamato gun, once you see a fleet of these on the Battlefield it's usually only a matter of time until victory as had.
This is not to say that Battlecruisers are not counterable. By the time a Terran base has enough resources and buildings to maintain a fleet of these bad boys, it's pretty safe to say that you've been in game for over a half an hour. Being a tier three unit gives the Battlecruiser limited viability in competitive games, as the teching required would force a player to turtle on minimal resources allocated to necessary defenses. However, when you are lucky enough to have one of those long, drawn out games it surely is fun to sweep into a base with 10-15 of these to wreak havoc.
It is unfortunate, though, to find that the original voice actor for the Battlecruiser did not return. Much to Starcraft fan's dismay, the new voice does not wholly capture the rustic Russian accent and witty remarks that Starcraft 2's predecessor maintained. All is not lost, though, because this unit still carries with it the commanding presence and powerful arsenal that we have all come to expect from this unit. On the Battlefield, you might get the time to hear some of the following remarks:
"Yes commander?"
"Patching you through."
"What is it?"
"Well?"
"We are running low on synergy/"
"This battlecruiser shoots! it destroys! But wait! It does more."
"What's with all these blinky lights?"
"Flying this low always makes me nervous."
"I've lost my hat! Swing around, we'll pick it up."
"Let's call this one really really fast, if something gets in our way, shoot it!"
"Let's hurry up and finish this attack, it's raid night."
"Dasvidaniya, don't get any on yuh."
"We're going down! Stay with the ship, I'm out. Where's my escape pod?"
While I like the old Battlecruiser's voice-over better than this one, I do like the updated look and upgraded weapons. Overall, I'm personally pleased with this unit's return. Beyond its use on the multiplayer battlefield, the Battlecruiser plays other important roles in the Singleplayer storyline. Aboard the flagship Hyperion, you get the abtility to upgrade your Battlecruisers with extra abilities - including a defensive matrix and an airborne missile swarm. While you aren't allowed to use these nifty abilities in multiplayer, it certainly is fun taking out masses of enemy air units in a single blast.
But thus cometh to another end of Clickables. If there are quotes, references, or other information missed, please feel free to point them out in the comments section! Until next time.

Hey guys, Exzodium here. I am sure you guys have heard the saying a picture is worth a thousand words. But what would those words be?
Why not find out. Each week I hope to do a fun segment where I throw a random picture up on the Staff Blog, and you guys can leave a comment. Got a funny caption for the picture? Share with the rest of us.
This week's picture comes from the FalloutNexus a site dedicated to Fallout 3 Mods. It appears some one has been at work extracting some of the models from the Starcraft II campaign. But a more Importantly, our good friend Zerutal seems to be lost in a time and dimension not of his own.
There's been coming in some positive feedback from one of
our supporters, the poker
online guide PokerListings. Here is what they had to
say: "This is one of the most informative and helpful Star
Craft resource online today. Thanks to the crew behind this
website!" For more information about them, please check
