During Brood War, Terran Command Centers could be attached with a Comsat Station or a Nuclear Silo. Four years later, this concept has changed, as the Command Centre can now itself change into either a Planetary Fortress or a Surveillance Station. The Surveillance Station acts like a Comsat Station, able of detecting anything within a wide area of effect. A Surveillance Station benefits from a longer sight-range than a Command Center and like the Planetary Fortress, it cannot liftoff.
Abilities
Scanner Sweep
A Surveillance Station can scan a large surface for enemy presence inside or outside the fog of war. It is assumed that the sweep reveals invisible or burrowed units.
