Since the Lurker is issued from the Hyrdralisk, it can be deduced that it is as lethal as its previous form. Lurkers from the Brood War had to burrow completely to be able to punish their enemies with a trail of impaling spines. Now, however, the Lurker needs to be only halfway into the ground to do this.

Lurker needle spines are a deadlier version of the Hydralisk strain hide. Lurkers are a terror to any and all infantry even with detection.
